Digital library and e-filing boost IP protection
HCM City — Intellectual property (IP) has become more of an urgent matter for Viet Nam as it integrates into the world economy and seeks to fulfill its commitments to the World Trade Organisation.
To help organisations and individuals save time and to promote IP protection, the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) introduced an IP digital library and e-filing system in HCM City yesterday. The goal is to process IP applications more quickly and accurately and to enable anyone to freely access the latest IP information.
"The IP digital library and e-filing system represent a huge step toward ensuring IP protection. We hope organisations and individuals will know about these two systems, and use them for their IP registration and protection," said Pham Phi Anh, deputy director of NOIP.
In recent years, NOIP has tried to encourage people to register IP rights for their products. It also has made efforts to speed up the use of automation technology. Read more from Viet Nam News...
